1 person post a question on a website that he currently Windows 7 or 8 running and installed on partition C & partition D is empty, and won2 install RHEL6 on it without affecting Windows seven ( i.e., dual boot Windows 7 & Red Hat6 ).

so here is my answer...
*****************************************************************
1.first of all log-in 2 windows 7 and remove D partition from disk
management....
go - to run dilog-box type.... "diskmgmt.msc" > ok
2.Now check free space..... ok for RHEL6 or not..... U can use shrink option in win7 to decrease your windows 7 main partition "C drive" R-click on "C drive" click to shrink volume after that U have to restart your system because U change your main partiton conf....
>> boot from RHEL6 DVD and install RHEL6 normally...
3.Now at the installation time....when RHEL6 ask for type of installation....
choose
"create custom layout"
my partiton layout is....
windows
C partition is 28 GB
D partition is 128 GB
linux
/ partition is 26 GB
/boot partition is 500 MB
/home partition is 16 GB
/tmp partition is 4 GB
/usr partition is 6 GB
/var partition is 14 GB
/usr/local partition is 4.5 GB
/opt partition is 11 GB
swap partition is 2XRam
/yoo partition is 16 GB -- vfat filesystem.
4.after that all the steps are same...
5.but if U r using 2 HDD then the installation is differ......so I recommend U 2 install on 1 HDD only.
